WIP! Animaatio- ja sarjakuvafestivaali järjestetään 11.9.2026 klo 16 Gigglebugin studiolla Vallilassa (Elimäenkatu 9A, 5. kerros). Tapahtumaan ovat tervetulleita kaikki Suomen sarjakuvaseuran jäsenet, Gigglebugin työntekijät ja alumnit sekä Animaatiokilta.
Tapahtumassa voi tavata muita tekijöitä, piirtää yhdessä ja esitellä omaa työskentelyä.

You are invited to “WIP!”, an Animation and Comic Festival where Gigglebug Employees/Alumnis, Animaatiokilta and Sarjakuvaseura members meet and exchange around shared programs and activities!
This mini-festival will happen at Gigglebug studio in Vallila, Helsinki, as well as online*, Friday the 11th of September 2026 at 16:00 onwards.
Mingling, Life Drawing, Flash-Masterclasses** and more to be announced!
WIP! is organised by a small team of passionate animation and comic artists, in the goal of bringing those two worlds closer and spark inspiration and encounters. You are needed to make this event a success!

**Flash Masterclasses:
Low threshold short presentations with the goal of showcasing the diversity of processes and steps within Animation and Comic.
This part of the program depends on your participation!
Presentation structure:
– About 5 minutes long
– Be related to Animation and/or Comics
Must answer:
– What is [topic] in its essence
– What makes [topic] challenging/rewarding?
– How to get started in [topic]?
Example of topics:
Script writing for a comic, directing a series vs directing a feature, automation and tools for animation pipeline, compositing, traditional vs digital techniques in comic, preproduction for a solo film, rigging, choosing an animation software, applying to festivals…
